At an exclusive psychiatric clinic, the doctors and staff prove to be as troubled as the patients. The clinic head, Dr. Stewart McIver, believes it would be therapeutic for patients to design and create new drapes for the library. Meanwhile, his neglected wife, Karen McIver, eager to assert herself at the clinic, orders her own set of new drapes. Adding to the turmoil, Miss Inch, the business manager and longtime presence at the clinic, sees these changes as an intrusion on her authority and places her own drape order as well. This seemingly simple issue escalates into a dramatic conflict involving clinic politics and power struggles.
