Haunted Honeymoon 1940 DVD - Robert Montgomery

Lord Peter Wimsey, an amateur detective, is set to marry Harriet Vane, a writer of crime novels, in a grand society wedding. To celebrate, Harriet gives Peter small charms symbolizing their promise to retire from solving crimes. As a wedding gift, Peter buys Tall-boys, the Jacobean home where Harriet grew up, intending for them to start their new life together. Upon arrival at their new home, they find the previous owner, Noakes, absent and must borrow a key to enter. Noakes, who now has money, is reluctant to settle his debts. After having supper and retiring for their honeymoon, the Wimseys wake the next day to find workers cleaning the estate. During this process, Noakes' body is discovered in the cellar. Despite their vow to stay out of detective work, Lord and Lady Wimsey soon find themselves drawn into the murder investigation.
