Set at the fictitious Tait University during the Roaring 1920s, co-ed and school librarian Connie Lane falls for football hero Tommy Marlowe. Unfortunately, Tommy is initially infatuated with the gold-digging Pat McClellan. As Tommy's grades start to slip, he risks being barred from playing in the big game. Connie soon realizes Tommy truly loves her and devises a plan to win him back and get him back on the field.
