Grant Jordan, a bachelor botany professor, marries Katie, a widow with three children, despite interference from Grant's former girlfriend, Minna. When Aunt Jo, who was supposed to babysit on the wedding day, breaks her leg, the children end up joining the couple on their honeymoon. After a series of misadventures, they arrive at the Grand Canyon, only to find that Minna is there and still scheming.
