Arizona deputy sheriff Les Martin, helped by socialite Janice Kendon and barkeeper Scott O'Brien, investigates a series of brutal murders in and around the Grand Canyon. As Martin closes in on the killer, Janice is taken hostage, leading to a tense car and helicopter chase that culminates in a dramatic showdown on a miner's bucket suspended high above the canyon floor.
