Desperate Search 1952 DVD - Howard Keel / Jane Greer

After departing Vancouver, a Canadian Western Airways Douglas DC-3 airliner catches fire and crashes in the Canadian north. The only survivors are two children, Don (Lee Aaker) and Janet Heldon (Linda Lowell). Their father, pilot Vince Heldon (Howard Keel), and his wife Julie (Jane Greer) team up with bush pilot "Brandy" (Keenan Wynn) and Nora Stead (Patricia Medina), the children's mother from a previous marriage, to launch a desperate aerial search before bad weather arrives. As searchers clash, tensions rise both in the wilderness and among the rescue party. Meanwhile, the stranded children face the dangers of exposure and a prowling mountain lion. Ultimately, cooperation leads to a last-minute rescue and reconciliation.
