In reality, Elizabeth is an unmarried New Yorker who can't even boil an egg; her culinary expertise comes from her good friend Felix. When her magazine's owner insists that a heroic sailor spend Christmas at her (nonexistent) farm, Elizabeth must scramble to keep up the charade or risk losing her career.
