Set during World War II, 'Bombs Over Burma' follows Chungking schoolteacher Lin Ying, who is recruited to help protect the vital Allied supply line from Burma into China. Lin's resolve deepens after one of her students is killed in a Japanese air raid. Later, while traveling the Burma Road with Allied representatives, a bridge collapse forces the group to seek shelter in a monastery. That night, they witness the bombing of an Allied convoy by Japanese planes. The raid's precision leads them to suspect that someone in their group—or perhaps the monastery's priest—is an enemy agent.
